Fossprite is a local-first pixel editor: the whole app lives in one index.html. Draw sprites and animations offline. Art stays on your machine unless you export it.
Features
Drawing and painting tools
Ten primary tools including brush, eraser, fill, picker, line, rectangle, ellipse, select, move, and pan. Brush size from 1 to 32 pixels with pixel-perfect and dots algorithms.
Layers and compositing
Add, duplicate, merge, reorder, and delete layers. Toggle visibility, adjust opacity, flip horizontally or vertically, and apply seven blend modes.
Animation timeline
Multi-frame documents with per-frame thumbnails, editable durations, FPS control, loop playback, onion-skin preview, and named animation tags with forward, reverse, and ping-pong modes.
Color palettes
HSV controls, hexadecimal input, foreground and background swatches, and built-in palettes including PICO-8, Sweetie 16, DawnBringer 16, Game Boy, and Endesga 32.
Import and export
Import PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, BMP, Aseprite, PSD, OpenRaster, Godot 4, Pixelorama, Pixilart, Piskel, and more. Export PNG, GIF, sprite sheets, SVG, and JSON projects.
